WE HAVE MOVED . . . Central Susquehanna Surgical Specialists have moved to their new facility on 25 Lystra Rogers Drive, three buildings north of its former location, 135 JPM Road. Our General Surgey, ENT, and Audiology practices will be located at this facility. We will continue to see Wound Care Clinic, Bariatric Clinic, and Vascular Clinic patients at Evangelical Community Hospital's Outpatient Clinic; and Breast Clinic patients at the Thyra M. DR. GARY AYERS CERTIFIED BY THE AMERICAN BOARD OF SURGERY Dr. Ayers has recently been certified by the American Board of Surgery. Surgeons that are certified by the American Board of Surgery must have completed a minimum of 5 years of surgical residency training following medical school and successfully completed a written and oral examination administered by the American Board of Surgery. DR. TURNER APPOINTED CANCER LIASON PHYSICIAN John F. Turner, MD, FACS recently received a three-year appointment as Cancer Liaison Physician for the cancer program at Evangelical Community Hospital through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. The Commission on Cancer is a consortium of forty-four professional organizations dedicated to improving the survival and quality of life for cancer patients.

Cancer Liaison Physicians are responsible for spearheading the Commission on Cancer initiatives within their own cancer programs; collaborating with local agencies, such as the American Cancer Society (ACS); and facilitating quality improvement initiatives utilizing data submitted to the Commission on Cancer's National Cancer Database.
